About Us
Noarlunga Theatre Company Inc (NTC) was established in 1994, and is based at
the Arts Centre (Old Institute Building), 22 Gawler St, Port Noarlunga.
NTC is a small, community based amateur theatre company, run by and for the
theatre lovers of Southern Adelaide and the Fleurieu peninsula. We are the
only not-for-profit community based theatre company operating out of the
Arts Centre, and as such, we rely on the community's support to stay afloat.
We have a dedicated committee, a strong membership base, and a group of
fantastic and friendly volunteers who donate their time and talents, both
on stage and behind the scenes, to produce three shows per year. Our members
are drawn from a wide cross section of the community, including people of various
ages and backgrounds.
Everyone, however, shares one thing in common: a passion for theatre.
We stage three productions per year, with the season usually running over
two weekends. With our popular cabaret style seating format, we pride
ourselves on providing a relaxed and cheery atmosphere for our patrons to
sit back and enjoy a few drinks, nibbles, laughs and good company, and the
talents of local up-and-coming performers, all for less than the cost of a
movie ticket !
We are always seeking new members and volunteers, and many hands make light
work, and the more the merrier. As well as the roles on stage, there are
always other important backstage roles available , such as publicity, bookings,
set design/construction, lighting, sound, stage management, props and costumes
and Front of House duties, including manning the ticket desk, ushering, canteen,
bar, raffle, and programme sales.
So, if you are looking to meet new people, be involved in something
different and rewarding, contribute to your community and, most importantly,
enjoy yourself, please contact us and you'll be made very welcome.
